Universal Studios

Everybody has heard of Disney World, but one of the slightly lesser known attractions is the Universal Studios Parks, in Orlando, Florida. Located in the International Drive Resort area, it is the 2nd largest Theme Park in Orlando.

Universal Studios Park is a part of the Universal Orlando Resort, which includes 2 main Theme Parks, Universal City Walk, and 3 Loews hotels. Universal Studios Florida opened on June 7, 1990, and is designed to make visitors feel as if they are on a movie set with rides inspired by popular movies. The park has 6 themed areas: Hollywood, Production Central, New York, San Francisco, Amity, World Expo, and Woody Woodpeckers Kidszone. The other theme park is called Islands of Adventure, and includes the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Theme Park. Othere areas are: the Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, the Lost Continent, and Seuss Landing.

The Universal City walk includes the 20 screen AMC Universal Cineplex, Margaritaville (See MargaritaHead.com for more info), the NBA Café, the NASCAR Café, the Hard Rock Café, and much more.

Each year, over 25 million guests visit Universal Studios Florida. Of course, holidays are one of the peak periods, so there are a few things you might want to consider in planning your trip.

· Arrive early in the day- The earlier you get there, the more you can see.

· Buy a Multi-Day Ticket- There is way too much to see to be able to cover it in just one day.

· Add Park-To-Park Access- This allows you to go from park, to park without having to stand in line and purchase more tickets.

· Dress for the weather- It can get chilly at night, especially in winter. Also, be prepared for a little rain from time to time. Wear comfortable shoes, because you will be doing a lot of walking. Don't wear new shoes, because until they get broken in, they can cause blisters, which aren't a lot of fun. Other useful items may include sunscreen, sunglasses, and swimsuits.Universal Studios want every member of the family to be able to enjoy a memorable experience.
